Combine Pantone’s 2024 Colour of the Year with pampeano

The new year has come and that means that it’s time for a new colour of the year from Pantone to celebrate and represent the year to come. They choose a colour each year based not only on their trend predictions but also on which values and emotions they predict will be resonant and important in the coming year. This year, they have selected a hue known as Peach Fuzz. Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute, stated that they sought a hue that “echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection”, so chose a colour “radiant with warmth and modern elegance”, and that “resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless”. We’ve got to agree: it’s a gorgeous colour which will be sure to be hugely influential and important in 2024.

One of our brand new polo-inspired pampeano belts launched in 2024 has the Peach Fuzz colour front and centre. Introducing the Alba: a new design of premium leather polo belt inspired by the Dawn of a new day – very fitting for a new year and a new colour of the year. The Alba complements the Peach Fuzz colour with navy jean, sky blue, cream and bright orange, framed against the rich brown of the buttery soft leather to create a vista inspired by the soaring skies of the early morning above the plains of Argentina. This pop of Peach Fuzz would really enhance an outfit featuring the colour, to make the ultimate on trend outfit for 2024.

Pantone has been selecting the colour of the year for over 20 years, and each year they have predicted and influenced the trajectory of the colour world in fashion, design, art, and more. For the last couple of years we have been writing these journal entries breaking down where you can find the colour of the year in our luxury leather accessories. In 2022, Pantone gave us Very Peri, a lavender like shade you could find in our Fuerza belt. 2021 was different: Pantone gave us not one but two colours of the year: Ultimate Grey and Illuminating, a bright yellow. These colours were everywhere at pampeano: from our Roca belt to our Tornado, as well as our Sierra and out bright Igualdad design, not to mention in many of our dog accessories, wallets and keyrings. But we think that this year might be our favourite of recent years, and the Alba really is a great example of how to style this new colour to create a striking look.

We hope you enjoy experimenting with Peach Fuzz this year, and trying out some new looks combining the Alba with different fashion pieces and colours. And don’t forget to stop back here next year to see what Pantone has in store for 2025.
