Argentine Flags and Argentine polo belts

Have you ever wondered about the symbolism of the Argentine flag? The white stripe symbolises peace and honesty; the light blue (‘celeste’) signifies vigilance, truth and loyalty. And we thought it was just a reminder of beautiful blue skies and a cheery sun! Actually, the humanised ‘Sun of May’ emblem, is believed to have been created by General Belgrano when he looked towards the sun before the Battle of Parana (1845, Argentina vs England/ France).

The flag, or ‘bandera’, is represented by our own ‘bandera’ belt, one of our most popular polo belts.
