James Middleton -The new royal style icon?
The siblings of the Duchess of Cambridge, James and Pippa Middleton attended day ten of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships yesterday and were joined in the royal box alongside David Beckham and his mother, Sandra
Stepping out in a sharp pale blue suit and pampeano polo belt, it seems James Middleton has been looking to none other than the Duke of Cambridge for fashion inspiration and taking style advice from ultra-chic girlfriend, Donna Air to achieve his fresh and refined new image.
Polo belts have always been a popular choice amongst the royals with Prince William being the first and most long-standing fan after being pictured in that belt as he so publically placed sweet little new born Prince George into the car back in 2013. Wills then proved to be quite the king of fashion recycling, following suit from wife Kate as he was then pictured in that same polo belt several times after.
It was then Prince Harry to appreciate the fine craftsmanship of a hand-stitched polo belt and it seems a bit of wardrobe sharing among siblings occurred as he was snapped wearing the exact same belt on numerous occasions.
A contemporary new design from pampeano’s extensive polo belt collection, the ‘Rio’ was next to hit the top of the royal fashion wish lists, capturing the attention of Royal fashion designer, David Emanuel, the man behind Princess Diana’s famous wedding dress. Finally, it was Donna Air to express her love forpampeano’s Rio, featuring it in her style column for HELLO! Magazine describing it as “gorgeous” and advising that pampeano’s “Argentine polo belt range offers a huge selection of colours and designs that look great with Jeans or over a summer dress. They make excellent gifts too.”
Being the youngest of the three siblings, it may be that James Middleton had been feeling somewhat overshadowed by the statuesque personalities that surround him, not to mention the huge media that surrounds his sisters wardrobe choices. Whatever his reasons, he’s clearly been paying attention, managing to successfully stand out in his own right next to sister, Pippa who shone in a Carolina Herrera monochrome print two piece at Wimbledon yesterday, which let’s be honest, would be a task for even the most experienced of style icons.
